Sharing Sunday

The first Sunday of every month, we are asking parishoners to bring in a donation of non-perishable food to be donated to a local food bank in our community. A table will be marked in the basement to leave those donations.
Suggested Items: canned goods, cereal, tuna, peanut butter, etc.

Knights of Columbus

From the moment of our founding in 1882, charity has been the first principle of the Knights of Columbus. We are men of faith and men of action. Our charitable activities encompass an almost infinite variety of local, national and international projects. From international charitable partnerships with Special Olympics, the Global Wheelchair Mission and Habitat for Humanity to our own Food for Families and Coats for Kids projects and other local charities, the opportunity to work together with fellow Knights and their families is virtually endless.
If you’d like to be a part of an international organization of nearly 2 million Catholic men whose principal work involves helping others in need, we’d like to meet you and invite you to join us.

Social Outreach Committee

We meet the first Tuesday of every month from 6:00-8:00pm. If you’d like to join, please contact Heather Coleman at heatherscoleman@yahoo.com.

St. Patrick’s Choir

Choir Rehearsal is held Sundays, after Mass, from 12:00-1:00pm. If you’d like to join, please contact Bryce Miller at pianoguy35@mac.com.

Nursery

As our parish grows we need more nursery workers during the 10:45 mass. You do not have to have young children to help out. Even though we have moms and grandmas helping in our nursery those who love children are encouraged to volunteer! Please consider this important ministry. Contact Jane Murphy (804) 267-1935.

Ministers Needed

As we grow as a parish we find ourselves in need of several ministers to ensure weekend Masses are celebrated seamlessly. Duties are easy to learn and you will be scheduled only once a month. Please reach out to Billie Keating with your interest and for details on becoming a Greeter/Usher, Altar Server or Sacristan. (804) 347-7919,

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

What is RCIA?

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), or Ordo Initiationis Christianae Adultorum (OICA) is a process developed by the Catholic Church for prospective converts to Catholicism who are above the age of infant baptism. Candidates are gradually introduced to aspects of Catholic beliefs and practices.

The RCIA takes place within the parish community and culminates in the reception of the Sacraments of Initiation.

The RCIA provides a forum for shared spiritual growth, and a means to explore the Rite of Christian tradition through the scriptures, sacraments, church teaching and the faith community.

The process is for anyone who is:

  1. Unbaptized,
  2. Baptized in another faith tradition, or
  3. Baptized in the Catholic Faith and who seeks to complete their initiation through the sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.

For more information, please contact Fred Powell or Ryland Paxton.
